WORK MEET AND MOVE

This year, the LUX FUTURA award will have a specific theme for the first time. Luminaires and lighting concepts in context with architecture have to be developed under the motto "work meet and move". Every building (e.g. retail, hotel, office, education, infrastructure, healthcare, urban, sports, museums, etc.) deals with all three subjects in functional, technical and atmospheric terms. The works can be part of an overall project or individual luminaire solutions. Alternatively, the students and graduates are given the possibility to explore a single or all subject areas.

work: office buildings, administration buildings, business centres, workspaces in general and individually;

meet: communication zones, reception and lounge areas, lobbies, presentation and exhibition spaces, canteens, conference rooms, libraries, etc.

move: transport routes, exteriors, circulation areas

The tutors of the master class have defined “work meet and move” as follows:

Roman Delugan
„work meet and move“ insgesamt heißt für mich die perfekte Verbindung einer faszinierenden Reise nach Cuba mit einem inspirierenden Input - von einerseits der anregenden Location und meinen netten und kompetenten Reisebegleitern andererseits.
work = Arbeiten mit Spaßfaktor
meet = Kennenlernen von Mensch und Ort, Kommunikation und Austausch
move = Inspiration, gedankliche Beweglichkeit und das kreative Beschreiten neuer Wege

Magdalene Weiss
Built working environments characterise a large part of our time and perception. The use of light designs our workspaces, circulation and meeting areas to a high degree. We are presented the special opportunity to create spaces of high technical and functional quality as well as achieve a particular design and atmospheric quality.

Petra Wollenberg
Light should provide orientation when you move, enforce concentration when you work and establish relaxation when you meet.
